Military

The U.S. Military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell, Don't Pursue, Don't Harass" ("Don't Ask, Don't Tell") policy has been a failure since its inception in 1994.

"Don't Ask, Don't Tell" forces lesbian, gay, and bisexual (LGB) people into lives of dishonesty, mocking military traditions of integrity. This law directs the firing of people because of their sexual orientation.

Furthermore, it creates an environment in which LGB people are not guaranteed the same protections under the law as others.
