In the News: Colorado House Committee to vote on civil union bill on Thursday

from Freedom to Marry & One Colorado.

This just in from our friends at One Colorado: the House Judiciary Committee will vote on the civil union bill tomorrow, Thursday May 2nd. Tomorrow's vote comes on the heels of a successful vote in the State Senate where the civil union bill passed with bipartisan support.

Of the 11 members of the committee, all five Democrats have committed to advancing the bill to the House floor. Once on the House floor, the bill is expected to pass, meaning that securing one Republican vote on committee tomorrow is absolutely crucial.

If you're in Colorado, time is running out for you to take action! Tens of thousands of Coloradans have already contacted Republican members of the committee in the past week, but we have to keep up the pressure.
