Interfaith Alliance honors Gov. Robert Ray

On Monday, May 24, the Interfaith Alliance of Iowa is holding their Protecting Faith and Freedom Annual Award Reception at Drake University in the Olmsted Center from 6:30 – 9:00 pm.

At the Award Reception, Interfaith will honor Governor Robert Ray for his commitment to civility as well as his work as governor in welcoming refugees to our state.

In addition, Rev. Timothy McDonald from Atlanta, Georgia will be the keynote speaker. Rev. McDonald serves on the Boards of People for the American Way and is founder of the African American Minister's Leadership Council and current president of the African American Ministers In Action, both core groups of PFAW.
