ONE IOWA HIRES BRAD CLARK AS DIRECTOR OF POLICY AND EDUCATION
Experienced Iowa LGBT Advocate Joins Statewide Organization
Des Moines, IA – One Iowa, the state’s largest LGBT advocacy organization, announced today their new Director of Policy and Education, experienced advocate Brad Clark.
“We’re absolutely delighted to have Brad as a part of our team,” said Carolyn Jenison, Executive Director. “His experience with both the LGBT community and the Iowa legislature make him an invaluable addition to One Iowa.”
In Mr. Clark’s previous experience as the Executive Director of Iowa Safe Schools, he helped pass a statewide Safe Schools law that protects all students from bullying and harassment, as well as adding sexual orientation and gender identity to the Iowa Civil Rights code.
Most recently, Mr. Clark served as Outreach & Advocacy Director with the Matthew Shepard Foundation in Denver, Colorado.
“It’s a historic time in the movement for equality in Iowa,” said Mr. Clark. “I’m excited to be back in Iowa and look forward to the work ahead of us.”
As Director of Policy and Education, Mr. Clark will be responsible for overseeing One Iowa’s educational, legislative, and electoral efforts.
One Iowa, the state's largest LGBT advocacy organization, is dedicated to supporting full equality for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals living in Iowa through grassroots efforts and education.
