Showing up to counter-protest won't help us win.

This week the so-called "Iowa Family Policy Center" is attempting to influence the judicial process by filling the House gallery during the State of the Judiciary on January 16. Following these proceedings they claim they will rally more than 10,000 people outside the Capitol to call, once again, for the legislature to address the issue of same-sex marriage in our State’s Constitution.

Preventing movement of a constitutional amendment that would undermine the judicial process is the focus of One Iowa’s work this legislative session. We feel confident that the will of the majority of Iowa voters will prevail and that the legislature will focus on the real work of the people this session. Still there is much continuing work to do if we are to fend off anti-equality forces – and you can help!
