Ryan Crane

Ryan Crane is a recent graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. He graduated with honors and has a master's degree in Spanish in May 2008. He has worked with, and held leadership roles in, several non-profit organizations, including PIRG (Public Interest Research Group), the Iowa Democratic Party and the GLBT Chapter at UNI. He also chaired the White Ribbon Campaign, an effort to educate men about violence against women. While working on his master's, Ryan taught at the college level and wrote his thesis on gay male identity in Latin America. He has presented at and facilitated a number of scholarly workshops on these topics all around the Midwest. Ryan enjoys bicycling, jogging, creative writing and keeping up with current events and politics. He is originally from Council Bluffs, and lived in Cedar Falls from 2002-2008.
