Steering CommitteesOne Iowa's Steering Committees play a vital role in our journey toward equality in Iowa. Their primary function is to assist with the implementation of One Iowa programs through leadership in local communities. Steering committees work with One Iowa staff to organize local events, build strong networks of local supporters, and educate the public on issues of inequality facing Iowa families. A local presence requires local planning and Steering Committees are the key to maintaining an active presence in local communities across the state.
